Prusak’s Precision Construction, a highly respected Fixture / Millwork firm serving an exceptional clientele, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
The accountant reports directly to our President to develop financial goals, track project spending, conduct cash flow analysis, and manage accounting operations. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment.
Pay
$60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
Based on level of experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Oversee job costing, tracking project expenses, and revenue recognition.
- Oversee payroll and related tax filings.
- Manage general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
- Prepare and file tax and other governmental reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and project profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction accounting principles, including job costing.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar construction-specific ERP systems).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
